We are always excited to see both adult seals and weaned pups using offshore platforms to rest. These rafts provide safe refuge from beaches crowded with curious onlookers and off leash dogs. This platform was truly an inter-species roost yesterday as a very substantial pup (at left in the photo) named Tillicum shared it with an as-yet-unidentified pup and a thermoregulating cormorant.
